Ingredients

  1. 1 package (5.25 ounces) NEAR EAST® Taboule Wheat Salad Mix
  2. 1 cup chopped cooked chicken
  3. 1/2 cup chopped and seeded cucumber
  4. 1/2 cup chopped celery
  5. 1/2 cup chopped green onion
  6. 1 medium seedless orange, peeled and chopped (about 1 cup)
  7. 1/8 cup toasted slivered almonds*
  8. 1/4 cup orange juice
  9. 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
  10. 1 tablespoon olive oil

Preparation Instructions

  1. In large bowl, combine wheat and contents of Spice Sack. Stir in 1 cup boiling water.
  2. Cover; let stand 30 minutes in refrigerator.
  3. Stir in remaining ingredients. Chill 1 hour or overnight. Serve with toasted pita bread, if desired.

Cooking Notes

* TIP: To toast almonds, heat skillet over medium heat. Add nuts and shake skillet frequently until nuts are lightly browned.
